Chapter 1: Introduction to MS Word
I will publish different chapters related to MS Word. I will explain its each and every function step by step from basic. So, in this 1st Chapter I will give basic information of MS Word. Lets get started!
Introduction:
Microsoft Word allow users to create, edit, format and save documents. It's very reliable tool for word processing such as writing essays, letters, reports and many other type of document. Simply you can say it is use for documentation. lets start our practical:
Open a MS Word:
There are two ways to open MS Word
- Use shortcut key i.e. window key + R.
- Type "winword" and click on ok.
- Go to open menu
- Browse your Target document from target library. There are two major libraries OneDrive, it is cloud storage and PC.
- Click on your target document.
Save a new file:
- To save a new file go to File tab.
- Click on "Save As"
- Browse library where you want to save file.
- Select format type and click on save.
Difference between Save and Save As:
Save, It is a menu use for save changes made by user in document. The location and format remain same of that document. Save As, it is use to save new documents. In a case if user change format or wanted to change location of its file in PC again "Save As" will utilize for this action.
